Motivated to Mission
Mission is at the heart of God and is what the church is called to embrace.
Mission is a response to Christ's gospel which calls believers to both speak and be the good news in our world.
Our Mission
We understand our mission in two key ways:
1. Local Mission
2. International Mission
At West Flamboro Presbyterian, some examples of our local mission are: meeting the needs of people in our city and community
by volunteering at the Inner City Outreach teens programs; providing food for Flamborough Food Bank; providing a children's week-long day camp each summer;
inviting the community to our KID'S DAY OUT! programs, and sharing the gospel with our community
through hospitality events, worship services, and "Basic Christianity" courses.
On the international side of our mission thrust, we support projects all over the world through our national church office.
In particular, we have chosen to focus on the country of Guatemala, raising funds to purchase cows and small animals and send children to school who otherwise would be scavenging at the Guatemala City garbage dump.
In 2007, a team from West Flamboro went to Haiti to help build a structure for the seminary
there.
The picture of this little Haitian girl encapsulates both the need and the opportunity to provide care
in the name of Christ.
A WFPC Mission Trip to the Dominican Republic is being proposed, likely for the early part of 2013.
We will likely be partnering with Care{Force International to fulfil this Mission. For further information, click HERE to download an Information Brochure about Care{Force.
Open your eyes and ears to a new Christian experience of the world with a Christian organization,
Care{Force International,
based in Burlington which was chosen by the Mission & Outreach Committee after researching five or six organizations.

We guarantee that you, your friends, and acquaintances will be “changed” people if you join this mission team.
The mission team will be going to the Dominican Republic
for one week, most likely in early 2013, where you will use your Time, Talents and Treasures (3 Ts) to help those in need.
Do you have skills to offer?
All skills are needed—construction, health care, sewing, child care, teaching, etc. to help the Lighthouse School for children and adults.
These people need you!
If you can’t go, be part of the mission team to help raise funds for God’s people in need. Let us know your ideas to raise money and get involved.
Our first event is on January 28, 2012 at 7:30 P.M.when the
Burlington Welsh Male Choir will present a wonderful concert at our church. Click HERE to view the Choir's website.
Let’s make this event a success!
Watch for more details about the "3 Ts" in the future!
